Apostle Lamar D.Collins gave his life to God in the year of 1986 at the age of 18 at Revival held Liberty Temple Church of God in Christ, then became a member there under the Leadership of Elder Robert East, Senior Pastor and Administrator Assistant of the 1st Jurisdiction of Illinois. As a member at Liberty Temple he was appointed to the Deacon Ministry.
In1997 Apostle Lamar D. Collins join Gospel Temple Church of God in Christ under the Leadership of Elder Sidney Grandberry, Senior Pastor, Administrator Assistant of the 3rd Jurisdiction of Illinois. Doing the time at Gospel Temple C.O.G.I.C he was appointed to the Deacon Ministry and Then later appointed by Superintendent Sidney Grandberry to the office of District President of the Youth Department.
In the year of 2001 Apostle Lamar D. Collins joined New Life Celebration under the Leadership of Rev. Dr. Michael D. Reynolds, Senior Pastor. While at NLC he attended New Life Institute to further his biblical study. In the process of learning and studying at New Life Institute, he heard God voice calling him to preach to word of God, Under the Leadership of many leaders, teachers and guidance of Bishop Reynolds help him understand and develop him for ministry.
May of 2004, he received his Exhorter Certificate from Church of God, under Leadership of Bishop Reynolds, then appointed as Director of Evangelism at NLC, in which a powerful Prison Ministry at Cook County Jail, Nurse Home Ministry took place at two place every Sunday Morning and a power street Evangelism Movement took Dolton, IL by Storm every Saturday Morning.
May of 2010 he received his Ordained Minister Certificate from Church of God, under Leadership of Bishop Reynolds, while in Canada, supporting Bishop Reynolds doing ministry there, He was approach by Bishop Reynolds to put together a ministry for New Life Institute that will help people Discover Their Calling to Ministry. Under Guidance of Bishop Reynolds, Rev. Collins, Pastoral Team of New Life Celebration and the Holy Spirit form a Ministry Call, MDDP, Ministerial Discovering Development Program, which is still going strong and many are learning their godly gift.

In 2006, Apostle Lamar D. Collins was appointed as an Ambassador for Promise Keepers, His primary role is to serve as a resource and encouragement to Men’s Ministry Leaders. In 2007, he serve as a U.S. Marshal chaplain under William L. Glennie, Ph. D., Chaplain Director of Arizona, Apostle Lamar D. Collins serve as a U.S. Chaplain for the Midwest Region under Mr. Kim Richard Wilup, U.S. Marshal Director of Midwest Region.
Apostle Lamar D. Collins and his beautiful Wife, Prophet Terri L. Collins founded together Life Changing Ministries in Grove Town, Georgia, in the year of 2014 at that time, Apostle Lamar D. Collins was appointed to the level of Bishop. Apostle Lamar D. Collins also serve as a Bishop in Elect of God Holiness Church, Inc.
In 2019, God came to Apostle Collins in a vision to lead a group of Churches in a fellowship. This new Fellowship is Now called KOINONIA GATHERING OF CHURCHES, NETWORK which is very well known overseas in Foreign counties. Koinonia Gathering Of Churches, Network under Apostle Collins Leadership is 54 Pastor’s in India, 25 Pastor’s in Africa, 17 Pastor’s in Haiti, 13 Pastor’s in Jamaica and 10 Pastor’s in Pakistan. Because of COVID-19, Apostle has preached 3 Holy Convocations by Virtual over the internet and God has poured out his spirit each Holy Convocation. Also, Apostle Collins since 2019 has been late night meetings with the Pastor’s of the Foreign Countries and leading them in Ministry.

Apostle Collins is marry to Pastor and Prophet Terri L. Collins who is in ministry alone the side of her Husband. Pastor Terri Collins serve a General Supervisor of Women Ministries of the Koinonia Gathering of Churches, Network.
Together they have 5 boys, 2 daughters, 3 daughters in-laws and 7 grandchildren in which all sons and daughters are serving God.
